This page was initiated by this web keeper who lives in the Southeastern United States. I am a gainfully employed middle class American. At this date we are having anywhere from three to seventy visitors a day. As you will notice if you browse this site there is a wealth of resources and directions a person can take on an individual or group level to help promote peace.
We have kept anonymity to this point due to the fact that we think leadership is not crucial nor even productive in the peace effort. We are all leaders by all being servants to the cause of peace. We don't need to claim credit for peace efforts. The benefit of your efforts will be known and evident to those who are directly affected by the positive outcomes. The child you help feed at a Rescue Mission or the homeless you provide clothing for are the documents of success in human form.
All such acts are acts of building peace.
PLEASE BROWSE THE WHOLE SITE. YOU MAY BECOME A SMALL BUT INTEGRAL PART OF THE PEACE PROCESS IN MANY WAYS. YOU DON'T HAVE TO ESPOUSE SOME MAJOR IDEOLOGY OR ANSWER TO SOME LEADER. YOU CAN BE FROM ANYWHERE ON THE GLOBE. YOU JUST HAVE TO ACT IN PEACE. THERE IS A WEALTH OF WAYS TO BECOME INVOLVED ON A PERSONAL LEVEL MENTIONED HERE. WE DON'T WISH TO BE THE LEADERSHIP FOR CHANGE. WE WISH TO "BE" THE CHANGE INDIVIDUALLY AND ARTICULATE IN LARGE NUMBERS OUR WISH FOR PEACE. THERE ARE PEOPLE ALREADY IN LEADERSHIP IN THIS WORLD WHO CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN IF IT IS WHAT WE ALL WANT. AS JOHN LENNON SAID, "WAR IS OVER, IF YOU WANT IT." IF YOU SIMPLY USE THE NAME "PEOPLE FOR WORLD PEACE" WE WILL EVENTUALLY BE ABLE TO SEE HOW.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a growing group of people who have pledged to never knowingly harm another person for the rest of our lives - to strive towards that ideal.
We are against the concept of war in general and follow the philosophical ideas of those such as Christ, Ghandi, Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama, and others who have espoused a non-violent way of changing the world. We condone no prescribed path to peace that includes harm to others. Ideologies that prescribe paths to peace through violence or force are summarily dismissed.
We want to live our lives as a proclamation and example of peaceful living. We are not living our lives in protest of war. Pro-peace offers solutions. Anti-War doesn't.

Who is our leadership?
There is none. I (web keeper) sent myself what is called a "poor man's" copyright that proclaims the beginnings of this organization, and I use the term organization loosely. The reason for the copyright is to avoid someone being a leader. We keep it on hand for to declaim anyone claiming leadership. We are leaderless. We are all servants to our fellow man.
The only way we can create peace is to live it.
We want a world where our children can live free from fear of harm, where the sanctity of life is upheld at all costs.
What can you do?
Exemplify and wage PEACE. Find something good to do for people.
* Work at a homeless shelter.
*Volunteer at a nursing home.
*Do those things which enhance the lives of others.
*Check out community outreach programs like SHROCKIN' in St. Bernard's Parrish in New Orleans, where Loyola students sheetrock homes devastated by Katrina.
And, tell them you work for People for World Peace who claims no leaders ... only servants ... and whose mantra is Peace and goodwill toward "ALL".
